摘要：In the first part of talk, I shall present the Hamiltonian approach to study radial accretion on to a static spherically symmetric compact object. We calculate the speed of fluid flow, critical points and characterize various kinds of flows. In the second part of talk, I shall briefly discuss my recent work the study of shadows of black holes in modified gravity theory.

报告人简介：Mubasher Jamil, associate Professor, National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan; Research Professor, Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou. He completed his PhD from National University of Sciences and Technology in 2010 and joined at Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou in January 2019. He works in the areas of black hole physics and modified gravity currently. He has been a visiting scientist at prestigious international institutes including Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, Japan and Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics, Italy. He has published more than 100 articles and cited more than 4000 times.
