2021 "Gezhi • innovation" forum No. 18 of School of physical science and technology - Professor Wang Wenge

Report summary:

The main basic achievements in the field of quantum chaos in the past 40 years are briefly introduced; Taking the turn of the century as the boundary, there are important changes in this field. Then, some current key research directions and methods, as well as the interaction between this field and the fields of quantum thermochemistry and quantum thermodynamics, are reviewed. Finally, it looks forward to some possible progress in the future.

Personal profile:

Wang Wenge, Professor, doctoral supervisor, Department of modern physics, University of science and technology of China. In July 1992, he obtained his doctorate from the Department of physics of Nanjing University. After that, he worked as a postdoctoral in Shanghai Institute of atomic and nuclear research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Department of physics, Nanjing University, and Como branch of the University of Milan, Italy. From September 1997 to May 2007, he worked as a lecturer, associate professor and professor in the Department of physics of Southeast University. He has been a visiting scholar in the Department of physics of Essen University in Germany, the complex system research center of Lombardy University in Italy, the nonlinear center of Hong Kong Baptist University, etc. From February 2002 to May 2007, he worked as a researcher in the Department of physics of the National University of Singapore. 2007.5. So far, he has been a professor in the Department of modern physics of China University of science and technology. In recent years, he has been mainly engaged in quantum chaos and its applications in quantum heating and quantum thermodynamics (especially the research on decoherence and statistical properties of small open quantum systems), and has a strong interest in the basis of quantum mechanics and statistical physics. Presided over a number of NSFC projects and participated in two 973 projects.
