The First Round Announcement of Phosphor Safari 2020

The Phosphor Safari (International Symposium for Phosphor Materials) was firstly established by Prof. Kenji Toda, Prof. Hajime Yamamoto, and Prof. Dae Ho Yoon in 2009 with the aim of promoting discussion and interaction between young researchers and leading scientists related to the phosphor field. In the past 10 years, the Phosphor Safari have been successfully held in Niigata (2009, 2011, 2015), Suwon (2010), Hsinchu (2012), Jeju (2013), Kunming (2014), Hong Kong (2016), Gdansk (2017), Seoul (2018), Xiamen (2019), and greatly advanced the development of science, technology, and industry of phosphors. In 2020, the honor for hosting this great event is passed to Lanzhou, a major stop on the ancient "Silk Road" in the northwest of China. The organizing committee of the Phosphor Safari 2020 cordially invites the colleagues and friends from both academics and industries to attend the symposium at Lanzhou University on 1-5 Aug., 2020 (if the 2019 novel coronavirus can be controlled and eliminated by then).
The tentative arrangements of the meeting are as follows：
1. The topics of Phosphor Safari 2020 include but not limited to:
A. Up-conversion; Nano-bio luminescence materials;
B. LEDs; Mini LEDs; Micro LEDs; LED lasers;
C. Horticultural and Human Centric Lighting;
D. Luminescence for solar photon conversion;
E. Others.
2. Meeting schedule ( the detailed schedule will be updated later)
(1)1st August 2020: registration at the lobby of Lanzhou Legend Hotel (兰州飞天大酒店).
(2) 2nd August~ 4th August 2020: Meeting.
(3) 5th August 2020: Departure.
3. Registration fee
The registration fee is 600 USD (4000 RMB) and 300 USD (2000 RMB) to be paid on site for each regular participant and student, respectively. The organizing committee will bear the cost for conference room and facilities, meals and gala dinner during the meeting.
