报告摘要:

        By investigating the spacetime completeness of the charged black hole in the four-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory, we find a contradiction between the completeness of spacetime and the smoothness of limiting from charged to uncharged cases. This contradiction stems from the ranges of the Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet parameter, which shows that the completeness is not only coordinate dependent but also parameter dependent. To verify the coordinate-and-parameter-dependent completeness of spacetime, we analyze mainly second-order phase transitions and quasinormal modes in the eikonal limit for the charged Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet black hole in the four-dimensional spacetime, where the resulting effects might be observed in future experiments  when compared with those of the Reissner-Nordstrom black hole.

个人简介：

  缪炎刚毕业于兰州大学物理学系理论物理专业，获理学学士、理学硕士、理学博士学位（1992年），并担任助教、讲师；获得博士学位后，到中国科学技术大学近代物理学系做博士后，出站时取得副教授任职资格（1994年）；然后受聘在厦门大学物理学系任副教授、教授（1998年）；2004年起任南开大学物理学院教授、博士生导师。此外，1999年－2001年在德国Kaiserslautern大学物理系以洪堡学者身份任客座教授；2002年－2004年在大阪大学学术访问。研究领域主要在量子场论、非对易几何、PT对称量子力学、量子引力和黑洞物理等，发表相关研究论文九十余篇并主持九项国家自然科学基金和教育部博士点基金项目。
